2020-03-14 Message from Pastor Randy
Greetings, members and friends of Crescentville and Frankford Memorial
congregations.  Though the Scriptures are clear that we should gather together
whenever possible, the times we find ourselves in have called us to pursue other
ways for us to be together.  Over the course of this past week, I have found myself
thinking about Jesus, and how when He was led up to the top of the temple by Satan
and told He could jump off because God would, by His angels, protect Him,
responded to Satan by saying …“Do not put the Lord your God to the test.”  It
seems as though our insistence to continue to gather as our custom has been would
be doing just that, putting “God to the test.”

And because of this, we have made the decision to suspend our weekly gatherings
for worship for at least tomorrow, Sunday, March 15th and next Sunday (March
22nd).  In place of our gatherings in our beautiful sanctuaries, we will instead
provide a service that can be streamed to your computers or smart phones.  And
for those who have neither of these, you will be able to phone in from your home
phones and listen in to the service.  In this way, we can, as one, “be” together in our
worship.  Logging into this service will begin at 9:30 AM tomorrow with the service
itself beginning as close to 10 AM as possible. Please see additional information as
to how to connect to the service in this e-mail.  Also, after the service is over, a
video copy will be sent to those of you who have e-mail or text messaging so that if
you are not able to join us live, you will be able to share in our service.  This same
video will also be posted on both churches’ websites and Facebook pages.

I would hope that during these times of worship, you will spend time praying for one
another in our congregations, and even follow those prayers with phone calls to
others in our congregations, thus, sharing in times of fellowship in our physical
absences.

As we are going to do this in short increments of week to week, I will keep you
informed as to when we will be able to resume our gathered worship services.
Hopefully, this will be soon.  In the mean time, continue to realize the presence of
God in this new form of worship.  Realize, as well, the peace of God through these
days and weeks, and know that God is with you both now and forevermore.

Please feel free, as well, to call me at the parsonage (215) 722-2396.  Peace…
As we are in the process of learning
this new technology, please be patient
with us.  You will find that the last
