United Methodist Church
damaged by flames

Around 5 PM Tuesday evening, August 21st, our church
steeple caught on fire. Firefighters were able to get
the fire under control before the fire spread. The
fire was contained to the steeple area above the bell.
There was no visible damaged to the rest of the
Church building, except for water in the foyer. The
cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Thank you to all for your prayers. We are very
fortunate that this fire was limited to one area and
that the rest of our building was spared.
Even thru the turmoil of this event we saw how God
was working in our lives.
The firefighters even rang the bell for us!!
We have many wonderful members in our congregation
that are willing to step up and help. Thank you to all
who arrived at Church to offer help.
Electrical power was restored on Wednesday and
clean up was done so that our ministry can continue.
Worship services will be held on Sunday at 10:30 AM,
and the congregation is invited to stay after worship
to help with some clean up.
Pastor Randy is on vacation, and he is aware of these
events.  Please do not disturb his much deserved
rest.  If you have questions, please contact Sue
